Am I in the right fund?

It depends on your age, your goals and when you'll need the money. Someone saving for a first home in two years may need a different fund from someone saving for retirement in 30. We can review yours and talk you through your options.

Can I use my KiwiSaver to buy my first home?

In most cases, yes. If you've been a member for at least three years, you may be able to withdraw most of your savings, leaving a small amount in your account. Other conditions apply, so talk to us before you start house hunting.

How much should I be contributing?

There's no one right answer. It depends on your budget and your goals. We'll help you find a level that works for you now and sets you up for later.

Can I change my KiwiSaver provider or fund?

Yes, you can switch at any time. We'll help you compare options so you can make an informed decision.

Do you charge for KiwiSaver advice?

Continuation option

A Continuation Option may be available if you leave Star Insurer. If eligible, you may be able to take the cover you have under the Star Insurer Employee Benefits Programme and continue it as a personal policy, subject to payment of the premium. Provided it is exercised within 60 days, no health questions are required. Some terms and conditions apply. Talk to us to review your cover or better understand your options.
